Last week, 5/6J read ‘The Z was Zapped’ by Chris Von Allsburg. In this picture book, each letter ‘performs’ on a stage and unfortunately they all go through a series of mishaps.
5/6J then had to write their own sentences for each letter, using an action starting with the same letter and perhaps an adverb.
We wrote a list of objects and adverbs to get us started, especially for the tricky letters X, O, Y, Z, Q.
Finally 5/6J had to choose one letter to illustrate. Together we will display these letters to make our own Alphabet!
These girls in the video below made their own video as a response to the book. Check it out!
So tell us 5/6J, what was your alphabet sentence that you chose to illustrate?

Hey Miss B and 5/6J,
When we were making our own personal letters, I did the letter H and turned it into a Hippie H.
