Slushies, Slurpees, Frozen Coke, whatever you call it, 5/6J love them! And it would seem so does the rest of the world!

But where do all those slushie cups end up? Is there a better design?

Should our canteen start bring your own cup, like 7-11 did in America?

Can we make the slushie cup more cost effective and better for the environment?

Now it’s your turn 5/6J to come up with a great design!

  1. Hi 5/6J I am a teacher at Guildford Public School from the ICT Discoveries blog link, and I know your Miss B very well. I was intrigued by this design task as it made me think about some of the more environmental options that are available for drink containers. We are hosting a multicultural day at our school next term and there will be lots of food and drink sold. This means…..lots of rubbish and waste. I wonder if you would mind sharing your ideas from this design task to help our students and teachers come up with the best solution for efficient resource consumption for our big community event in a few weeks time. We will post pictures on our blog soon about this so you will be able to look and make your own suggestions. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I will ask our Stage 3 to leave you comments and ideas about your task too.
